Today I got the serial controlled touch LCD screen.
Serial control has the benefit that I can use a slow pic like 8mhz to render crisp graphics on the LCD.
This is kind of a trick. Because the 4d systems pcb board is essentially a sub arm processor that can handle 8bit/16bit communications to the LCD. So essentially a rich api is exposed by the serial port on the 4d pcb from which commands can be sent using a com port on your pc or USB serial t/l with little effort.
The ausies are the only ones with something like this. Nice job AU :)
